Best way to get orange/red materials?

    Hi. After getting back to the game, I finally got a decent prefix + suffix scroll combination and decided to try forging a decent weapon to replace my purple one. The issue I stumbled onto is that I'm lacking many of the materials in better qualities (orange/red and some in purple).


    So now I'm wondering what the best way to get them is...

    -Buying from other players = not possible since the server I'm playing is pretty much dead.

    -Smelting = This seems legitimate, but I get so few orange drops, it's unreal to wait for one and hope it has the same smelting yield as the materials I need. Not to mention this brings red out of the equation.

    -Farming materials from mobs = This is what I see as the best and only reasonable solution right now. But considering I'd have to farm subpar mobs compared to the ones I've been hitting for now, is it really worth it?


    Maybe there's more methods/solutions to this issue, or there's something I'm overlooking... which is why I'm writing here, hoping to get some guidance.

    P.S. I'm lv96 if that makes any difference.

    Hi! I´m from Argentina but i´m gonna try to guide you anyway.


    Until lvl 100, it´s very hard to get orange/red materials ´cause of the poor drop of the expedition boss in lvls 90-99.


    My advice is to get lvl 100 as faster as you can and travel to Germany, you will get a lot of orange items to forge, at least an Ichorus weapon, beside, te boss of Germany will not drop you red items, it will be very rare, but, maybe you have luck.


    I´m lvl 133 and I got my first red weapon at lvl 108. My first red drop was at lvl 111, so before this lvls, it´s very hard to have a red equipment unless someone give you the materials.

    There's 2 things I'm not sure about in your suggestion, regarding traveling to Germania.


    1) Isn't it a bad idea to go to Germania before lv102, because there's no good Dungeon available before that?

    2) If I should rush to go there as soon as possible to start farming Mine, should I just go at lv98 with the Eagle costume?

    Well, in my expirience, dungeons don´t drop orange/red items, it´s extremely rare, so, when you reach lvl 100, if you do easy underworld, in one week, you will be 102 and you can start doing dungeons again, besides, 102 dungeon is the first to drop orange items, so, until then, dungeons are a bit useless if you want orange/red items.


    I don´t recomend go to Germany with the Eagle Costume because if you do, you will not be able yo use the underworld costume, thats why you should go when you reach lvl 100. When you reach lvl 100, inmediatly go to the underworld and beat Dis Pater in easy, then get all the bonus from the boss of The Mine, you will begin farming like 4 o 5 orange items per day, if you´r lucky, maybe some Lucius or Gaius, the most important items at that lvls.


    Another recomendation: This are the best lvls to farm Tinctures of Stamina, after lvl 112/120, Lucius drops are very poor, there are other prefix that will drop Tinctures like Sentarions or Stoybaers, but when you melt them, they drop 3 or 5 tinctures.

    Totally agree; dungeons start being less important than expeditions at this point. Between level 100 and 102, you can always use previous Germanic dungeons, it'll be a bit trashy but better than nothing.


    But really, orange drops will mostly come from expeditions bosses from there on, each new boss being even more generous than the previous one.


    In the meantime, don't worry too much if you're sitting on purple gear, so long as it has good prefixes/suffixes.


    Lastly, the holy anvils of doom will be your best bet at red (and even orange) forges for a little while; make sure to make the most out of every "forge tool drop" event, so that you can maximize your chances of hitting a lucky forge.

    The rest will come with time and lots of Germanic expeditions :)

    You are missing the part where you go into the underworld when you hit 100 and you WONT BE NEEDING the eagle eyes costume no more. So farming in Germany lvl 98-100 is the most profitable in terms of exp and orange items.
