Seasonal event efficiency

  • Hi, with the recent 'Desert of nightmare' event, I began to wonder what the most efficient approach is for this sort of events.

Particularly, is it more worth it to hit the third opponent (Fennec in this case) or the boss (Vulture)? Assuming both have full bonuses and 100% win rate against both.

Basically, do the 5 levels that the Vulture has on the Fennec as well as the fact that it's a boss compensate for the overall net loss of gold, experience and, potentially, items? I understand that the question is a bit "mathy" and there's all sorts of RNG to take into account, but I'd be fine with hearing some experiences as well.

    Thanks in advance.

  • I posted a similar question at the beginning of event. Regarding event strategy, I didn't get much of a response. My thoughts are the third npc isn't going to reward an epic red item like the boss(should) . Last time we had an event like this, I did get some nice red items from the boss, especially on the last day of event. I have been attacking the boss appx 50% of the time, and the rest spent on third npc. On last day I will definitely only attack boss and probably purchase extra points to run through end of event - hunting for something nice. Sorry for lengthy response , hope it's helpful in some way

  • Thanks for the reply; I joined back only recently so this is my second day on the event (this run though), and I figured I'll just try to at least learn the bonuses from the 1st and 2st opponent so I can try to experiment a bit with the boss the next time it runs.

  • I would not comment it if there is no such post telling "do the boss, it is better".

In general, bosses have a bit better drops. That's true. No question asked.

But drops are not 2 times better. No point of fighting the boss if it cost 2 points… That's my opinion.

The only point of fighting the boss is if you know you not use all of your points – so you need to get rid of them before next day (points reset)
