High level vs low level

  • Hi all

Current issue: High-level players (Level 300+) are forced to attack low-level players because otherwise they do not have enough opponents available to complete their tasks. However, since the latest update, the armor difference has become so significant that low-level players (around levels 150–200) are being reduced to almost zero health in a single attack.

    This should not happen.

Proposed solution: If the level difference between two players exceeds 20 levels, attacks should have no effect on the target’s health points.

  • A level 300 account has 100k armor and 2,200 damage. Even a perfectly optimized level 150 account can’t reach half of those stats. So your “advice” to optimize the armor is clearly just a pointless spam comment. Sorry.

  • Hello thanks again for the feedback! The game was recently updated and this new items have become part of the core active meta of the game allowing players to stop become weaker but stronger with the level and this is simply a master piece! If you desire to win vs the players who are already investigating and investing on the new equip i suggest you to do the same! Maybe you dont know yet but there are some really good new combinations even starting at early level 110 and even lower! Gladiatus bulgaria fansite has a bunch of tools helping players to find around the new update content!! Enjoy and have a good game

  • it's almost always a skill issue. as Bukanero said - upgrade your gear. you may not know all of the possible combos available to forge yet. no need to act like a 12 year old

  • What skill issue in this situation? Even at lower levels where difference is 15-20 levels it's impossible to upgrade the gear to be on pair with +15 level gear, obviously Bukanero and Gruodis have no clue what they are taking about. The main issue is the game design which basically allows those attacks, and if you remember in the past there was something called ''bashing'' and that wasn't for no reason. Today when Gamforge is strictly focusing on profit and milking the players with great and cheap option for buying rubies it's totally irrelevant to discuss further about this issue. It's their path to bait all of those p2w players to abuse events like Rise of the Forgotten and using bots-scripts to gain great advantage of gaining 40-60 levels per event, even more, depends how good bots do they use, Therefore, all of those players are forced to continue playing because after gaining those insane number of levels they will need to make gold for trainings which are insane amounts of gold, anywhere from 3-6 billions and waiting for the festival to spend it. Very soon 20% of the playerbase will need higher level dungeons and expeditions because right now there are several players who are +300 levels and final boss in Britannia is Antenociticus level 216, epic, and last dungeon in Britannia is Enemy and boss levels: 264-266, epic as well :) So yes, we need more and more Raise of the Forgotten events!

  • oh dude. I don't know what items are you forging but it ain't the right ones so it might be a skill issue for you too. at lower levels -- with the addition of new suffixes -- you can have 32-34k armor even before level 130 and still maintain 50% crit and block. pretty sure this wasn't possible before and that puts you in the same range armor-wise as not the sharpest players at levels 140-150, the only upper hand your opponent has against you is damage because of higher level weapons. and I don't think that there's a lot of lower level players attacking +15-20lvl opponents when there's enough competition in their current league. also, and I know that from personal experience, once you start forging full Sebus sets (let's take Sebastianus of Earth starting at lvl 136), you have close to a 50/50 chance to defeat players who are 15-20 lvl above you and only have a little more armor and damage than you. didn't seem like an impossible task for lvl 145 to defeat lvl 165 every now and then to me. I believe the gap widens at higher levels but that's what these new scrolls are here for. I'm positive both you and OP have not discovered all of the possible combos yet :)

  • Ok, first of all, I have no clue which level you are, so I will be specific now. I'm level 157, I have 4 lucius of fallen, aulus of gloom, 2x sebastianus of the inferno, varus of conflict weapon and taliths of resolve, and i have 50% both crit and block as well as 25% resilience, almost 41k armor, damage is 950-1060. Player at 169 with 4 lucius of fortune set up has 45-46k armor, total damage is like +20-30 over mine, block, crit and resilience same as mine, and I cannot win against that setup (I win maybe in 2%-3% of total attacks) , and it's only +12 levels difference, assuming both are using armorer and assassin pacts, and imagine not using those pacts, how can you win against +12 level without those pacts. If we talk about +17 level which comes in provinciarum, the thing is even worse... So is that a ''skill issue'' I ask? :) In circus provinciarum where I can have lucius of fortune assuming that I have a ton of resources to craft those items at 9% of success chance, forging +67 levels weapons at 1% chance of success, I can beat the most of those +17-20 levels simply cuz that there is a lot of noobs in this game not knowing the basic mechanic of this game. This is game design issue, not ''skill issue''. We don't speak of World of Warcraft or Guild Wars MMO where ''skill issue'' is present, so using ''skill issue'' term in Gladiatus is more than silly :) Therefore, this issue exists from the day 1, remember back in the days, players at level 67 who were entering the lucius era, and assuming that they were lucky to get enough of those lucius at that 67 level, they had a huge advantage against even 1 level lower players, right? This issue only refers to arenas, not to be confused. So tell me now how to correct that ''skill issue'' :D The only way to fix this issue is to redesign provinciarum and returning back the ''bashing'' rule. Also, new prefixes and suffixes sucks with intelligence in % making it hard to combine all possible stuff... You at 145 level beating the 165 level is pure luck or simply your wins are against total noobs, cuz no way that you can beat aulus of the earth/inferno/gloom and gaias of the earth weapon and few sebastianus of the inferno set up, right? Winning in 1% ratio against those opponents is ''skill issue'' right :) RNG in Gladiatus sucks big big time.

  • well, I said 'every now and then' which obviously means I wasn't winning every fight but it wasn't like I was winning only 1 out of 100 either so I wouldn't call the favorable outcome chance as 'impossible' like you stated. more of a 35% chance I would say. maybe your sample size was too small? it is indeed very possible but luck definitely plays a role and I had no business taking down champions of 2 leagues above mine on a regular basis but no one said it had to be the very best player of their respective league, I was just fishing for gold and some above average/weaker high-tier players were actually beatable, whether +15 or +20lvl above mine. and honestly, I'm pretty sure a 150 lvl smart player with full red equipment could win 5/100 battles against full red 200 lvl player. been there done that. but those fights are not something most of the active players would do often or at all so I don't understand the significance of this thread whatsoever, especially when the main problem OP had was HP reduction after the loss. never thought food shortage would be a problem for anyone over lvl 100 :)
