How is this possible? Possible Hack or what?

  • This is from Server 71 which, supposedly, opened on August 2nd?

I joined only an hour ago or something, the guy is level 4 (TR flag), I attacked him 3 times and all 3 times I received 16k (5k, 5k, 6k) gold in total.

Somebody else also managed to beat him for another 5k, at least according to his statistics page: Gold lost during the battles: 21.000

So it mustn't be a visual bug.

Edit: I was forced to add community language and I chose BA, I don't know what this means, I was looking for EN, because this happened in the EN/UK server but I couldn't find "EN" or "UK" for it, apologies.

Edit2: I just realized that I posted in the wrong section. I didn't realize "INTERNATIONAL" was country-specific. Apologies again.

  • Hello,

You are right, it is not a visual bug. I guess you are talking about the player ****. I would assume that it is an alt character who is gathering other people's gold in order to keep it safe for the training event and later to level up guild buildings. You can get max N * 1000 gold per successful attack on a player, where N is your level so it's definetely a way smaller loss to keep it in a lower level character. Although they should have trained his stats more so he would be untouchable by lower level characters. Or at least they should have put some items. :D

So it's okay for people to push their alt characters nowadays? I'm glad I only spent 5 bucks on this. I'll see if I can get them back if that's true, but still, not much of a loss at least.

Edit: It's so sad what this game has turned into..

  • You can have alt accounts but they have to be linked and marked as multi accounts. When you go to the menu Profile (its on the top left) you can add in there your alt account's name and then you log with it, go to Profile and accept that it is your alt character. When you link them like that you cannot give items to yourself or gold neither through the shop , nor through the wahehouse. So it is not allowed to push them by yourself. However, other guild members are allowed to give gold to him. Or you can even sell the tools that you get on your alt account to your guild members'. Or even give them for free. Some players exchange them: you give with your alt character forging tools that you have farmed from the event to someone's main character and he gives with his alt character forging tools to your main character.
The only possible violation of the rules for this player would be if he is directly giving gold to this character to hide it which means that he did not mark his character as an alt account. And one might assume that he is using VPN so admins cannot easily detect him of doing it.

As for the guy selling gold and gold tools - yeah, it is very sad. Some people (even though they are very few) make a living out of doing this. The best thing I would suggest you is to start on a server where those players do not play which would probably be in a different country, but at least you can change the language of the interface and still play in there. Thankfully we do not have such sellers in our servers.

You know that this is not true as both accounts in almost every case belong to the same owner.

I highly doubt there's a server where this isn't an issue. And even if there is, legalizing such a dumb abuse doesn't mean it won't happen in the future. So, the only option is to quit. Glad I figured this out within the same day.

I cannot know for sure anything but yes, as I said it is possible.

Well, in the servers of my country there are like no more than 12 players per server so there is no point for such players to ever start here. They will have no buyers. We are just a couple friends playing for the nostalgia. But yes, I do agree with your opinion. And it is sad because years ago moderators would actively check logs and find frauds/cheaters. These moderators would be from gameforge themselves but now they are focused on their other games and here they have "hired" regular people to be forum moderators to edit and lock your messages in case you try to expose someone. There are basically either servers with good amount of players (for the current state of gladiatus anyways) and with those sellers or servers like mine where you do not have almost any competition.
