What's the point of this game?

  • Hello,

I really want to discuss something (it might be long to read but please DO), I would highly appreciate if some of admins/community manager answers to this question aswell.

The whole concept of Gladiatus is collecting gold so you can upgrade your equipment and basic stats so you can have advantage over (let's say) arena 1 player.

[!] Collect Gold > Train > Upgrade Equipment > Take 1st spot in arena because you "worked hard" for it and it finnaly pays off.

When game was following this concept it was unlimited fun 24/7 playing this game, because you grind, you use all tricks you know so you can beat your opponents, finding gaps in your opponents strategy etc..
My big question is - What happend to all of that?

I used to play this game years back and it was all about that.
I returned to this game like month ago (or something like that) and I was trying to grind gold by collecting as little XP as possibble so I stay in range of my arena opponents I need to beat to get to that 1st spot, I was using all kind of events this game offered in which you can earn a lot of gold (Forge Tools Drop, Rubies Drop etc..). But it's really not possibble. Why you might ask?

    REASON 1 :

    image.php?di=7G8E

This guy is champion in arena 20-29!
He "earned" a total of 3.549.738.345 Gold while completing 0 dungeons and selling 38 items on market.
You might ask yourself "Yeah but malefica is thing in this game and he could bought rubies and resell golden malefica tools for gold".
True, but if we take calculation of every single market sale this guy has done we would come to result that every gold item has been sold for 93,5 millions.
Usually the price of gold tools are around 30 million each. First of all, there is like 10% chance he would actually spend that much amount of real money on rubies just to earn that much gold, second of all blind person can see that this player has been PUSHED.

    REASON 2 :

    image.php?di=9XLH

This guy is champion in arena 30-29!

He "earned" a total of 99.950.364 Gold while completing 169 dungeons and selling 2 items on market.

Let's say on every 1 point spent on dungeon he gets item (1 attack on dungeon = 1 random item)
Usually on this level 30-39 every item is worth around 6k, but for easier calculation we can say he earns 10,000$ gold per one item drop in dungeon.
He sold 1.274 items to the NPCS (General Goods, Malefica etc..)
    1.274 * 10,000 = 12,740,000 gold

My question is, how did this player get 87.210.364 more gold?
He only has 2 market sales (Player to Player) which indicates that he is been PUSHED aswell.

When gladiatus brought materials/tools update to this game that opened doors for a lot more "Grind but stay in same arena for longer" potential.
Because you can actually earn materials and you can trade them for gold which is extremly fun if you ask me.
You then would have to think "Would this item be worth smelting or should I just sell it to NPCs", I hope you can understand what I mean by that.

But there is no fun, every 1st place in arenas in every arena since I've returned to this game has been pushed and there is no way of beating them.
Why are these people not banned?
    Why is pushing allowed?

Can you please start banning the players that have been pushed?
Am I supposed to level-up to level 100 on this account and just create alt account and send myself something like 50 millions and sit on 1st arena place like parrot without any competition? Is that what's this game about now? If it is just say so, so I can start leveling up my main really fast and do the same thing.

I would appreciate if Community Managers or Admins of this forum answer to me this question. Thanks!

  • I guess, these are just accounts that accumulate gold for guild upgrades like forum that costs billions of gold on higher lvls. Check how much gold they donated to the guild

  • 1st player is not even in guild and he has donated 0$.
2nd player is in guild but he only donated 2000$.

"accounts that accumulate gold for guild" >> Even if that's true thats still pushing.

  • Well you are a bit out of the loop. Pushing is not against rules anymore, unless it's your multi account. But if u want to sponsor someone else account, its allowed

Probably they bought gold for $$$ i guess, but it's hard to catch them, cause they make a deal outside of the game like on discord or something

  • Gold is easily accessible on higher lvl. I donated to my guild over 4 billions while having max base stats & almost all red items, playing alone without help. The scarcity is only on lower lvls thats why some noobs buy gold for monies to have some fun on lower lvls, but its short term, cause u lvl up very fast till lvl80. So there is no point to transfer gold even between your multis

The point of this game is I guess reach the highest lvl possible. I recommend lvl 300 :D

  • I was just joking about VPN, but it's sad.
I remember times when u would grind dungeons only just to beat the arena 1 :)!
I was considering staying in lower levels for a little bit longer than usual so I can beat those guys with some tricks I know and they don't but it's sad what this game come to.
I will just grind level now I guess.

  • i am also an old gladiatus player.. i was 14 in 2007 when i was playing.. with no xp at arenas .. playing only dungeons for items .. and grinding to beat zagrash from lvl 70.. to beat every dungeon boss early to get expensive drops 30-40 lvl over ..the best gladiatus ever..

now if you play and gather gold to train only at -80% events you can be max stats in a year...also you get orange-red materials from higher lvls and be unbeatable..

It is very different. and less fun sometimes.. I think you will get used to it. Relax and play your best.

After hitting lvl 100 you will have access to the Underworld. That's where the real game begins :) From that time you can even slow your leveling down by using UW3 costume only and accumulate a huge amount of gold. The market is busier than ever, you can buy the scrolls, maleficas, and materials needed to forge bis equipment for all levels. Joining a strong guild whose members can sell you stuff can be also helpful

  • Creating of unbeatable monsters on lower levels, pushing ordinary players out of game?

Solutions exists, some were sent to GF more then 10 years ago, but nobody cares..

Game like this should have been dead for years, but nevertheless shockingly still lives.
